Golf, football,& bowling Isla Canela Golf course is situated within a Nature Reserve where the river Guadiana empties into the Atlantic Ocean. Its nice location and the mild climate of the region make it an ideal destination for golfing all year around. The course, designed by Juan Catarineu, is successfully integrated into existing flat terrain and is very comfortable to walk. Wide fairways run between natural dunes and many trees – oranges, olives, eucalyptuses and palms- have been introduced not only to enhance the location but, by their position, to provide natural hazards. At first sight it looks a golf course easy to play, but it has its hidden difficulties! Isla Canela Golf is a 5937m long course which is ‘user-friendly’ whilst at the same time challenging course for golfers of all standards. Any player with medium handicap can enjoy it because the greens are generous in width, true and most of them easy to reach. The Club House is purpose built in local style and colours. There is a bar and a la carte restaurant with great atmosphere. A large shaded terrace overlooks the swimming pool and the bowling green. Other facilities: |
